Not Just a Reading List

I've set myself an intellectual challenge...

This year I will read each of last decade's Pulitzer Prize winners for Fiction.

Ok, so it's not like running a marathon (which my dad is doing again by the way!) But it might be interesting.

Here's the list:
2000 Interpreter of Maladies by Jhumpa Lahiri
2001 The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon
2002 Empire Falls by Richard Russo
2003 Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides
2004 The Known World byEdward P. Jones
2005 Gilead by Marilynne Robinson
2006 March by Geraldine Brooks
2007 The Road by Cormac McCarthy
2008 The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao by Junot Diaz
2009 Olive Kitteridge byElizabeth Strout

I'll post reviews as and when I read them. Fun eh?

I tell you what mate, I will join you in that! I will buy the first two now assuming I can find them cheap online. Are you reading them in chronological order too? I went to see The Road in the cinema the other day, that's gonna be a bleak book!

Also one of my targets is to become a comfortable 5k runner in the next 8 weeks or so. I'm following a plan. We'll see!
